Zambia reached the 2025 AFCON in Morocco and showed they can compete at continental level. A new coaching era under Moses Sichone brings fresh energy. If the next match is a home friendly or a COSAFA Cup group game, Chipolopolo will be strong favourites. The case for NO. Zambia failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, and the last competitive cycle was uneven — three wins, three losses in qualifying. The coaching transition creates uncertainty. And the opponent matters enormously — a draw against any decent side resolves NO just the same as a loss.
